Character Profiles

Kate

Kate is a normal 17 year old girl who is intrested in fashion. She is popular and has lots of close friends, although the most important person to her is her sister, Scarlett; after a troubled childhood they have found themselves always looking out for each other. Out of the two sisters, she has always been everyone’s favourite, but has never used it to her advantage in an attempt to keep Scarlett’s jelousy to a minimum.

Scarlett

Scarlett is also 17 but rarely pays attention to her appearance. She feels she has always lived in her sisters shadow even though her Kate tries her best to avoid this. She focuses on college work and doesn’t have much of a social life. She has trouble coping with her emotions and feels the only person she can trust is her

sister. She feels her parents sometimes overlook her and her intelligence and wishes more people would notice.

Mother

She is a typical mum, who quite obviously favours Kate over Scarlett. She lives alone with her two daughters. Her husband left when the girls were young so she sometimes struggles to meet the demands of having two children. She fusses over Kate a lot as she is the more sociable out of the two girls. She loves both her daughters but struggles to understand Scarlett's moods.
